After pickup from your Ho Chi Minh City hotel, your driver takes you by air-conditioned van to a pier on the Siagon River to board your graceful riverboat. Take a seat on a banquette in the elegantly furnished indoor cabin, which comes equipped with air-conditioning and large picture windows with clear sight lines.
Start your evening cruise with a provided glass of sparking wine and assortment of appetizers. If you'd like additional drinks, they are available for purchase from the bar. Then relax as the boat glides along the Saigon River toward District Four, an older section of Ho Chi Minh City. A canal separates District Four from downtown, and you’ll note a mix of architectural styles and landmarks such as Bitexco Tower, clearly visible from your perch on the water.
Admire the brilliantly lit facade of Nha Rong (Dragon House), a building constructed by the French in 1863 to facilitate trade in the colony. The architecture combines Western and Eastern elements, and two decorative dragons perched on its roof inspire the building's name. The Ho Chi Minh Museum opened here in 1982, featuring extensive exhibits that detail President Ho Chi Minh’s life.
Sail under the handsome Cau Mong (Rainbow Bridge), designed by Gustave Eiffel and constructed in 1893, seven years before he built his famous tower in Paris. You’ll also admire the city skyline, port and glimpses of local life along the waterways of the city. Your onboard host is happy to answer any questions about the places you pass during your journey.
At the end of the 2-hour cruise, your boat returns to the dock. Say farewell to your host and hop back in the van for drop-off at your hotel.
